Strange Ranger, Friendship, Water From Your Eyes @ ALPHAVILLE
Tough-to-pin-down Portland indie rockers Strange Ranger offer up a little bit of everything, as you can hear on last year's Remembering the Rockets. They also just spearheaded a Bernie Sanders benefit compilation that came out yesterday, and they bring their tour to NYC tonight.

Pinegrove @ The Sultan Room
Pinegrove's new album Marigold is their first on new label Rough Trade Records, and they'll be celebrating the album tonight at this record release show, before it's officially out tomorrow.

Talib Kweli (DJ) @ Brooklyn Bowl
Talib Kweli has stopped by Brooklyn Bowl many times in recent years, and his latest show is "Bowltrane," which is a DJ set honoring the music of the legendary John Coltrane.

The Adicts, The Krays, The Droogettes @ Gramercy Theatre
British punk vets The Adicts remain as theatrical and energetic as ever, as you can witness for yourself in NYC tonight.

Agnes Obel @ National Sawdust
Danish artist Agnes Obel begins a two-night run at National Sawdust tonight, ahead of the release of her upcoming album Myopia, which drops next month via Blue Note.

Phoebe Robinson, Special Guests @ The Bell House
Comedian and former 2 Dope Queens host Phoebe Robinson is bringing together various special guests tonight for this campaign benefit, in support of her brother, Ohio State Representative Phil Robinson.

Michael Hurley @ Union Pool
Storied ’60s Greenwich Village scene folk veteran Michael Hurley remains active today, and begins a three-night stand at Union Pool tonight.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
