Earthless make spacey, riff-heavy psych that hearkens right back to the early '70s. They do it well, and tonight's their first of two NYC shows this week.

NYC's favorite mock-hair metal band are back after a hiatus. They're promising that you can once again "look out for Satanicide at a Lower East Side hipster club near you!" and the first of those is tonight at Mercury Lounge.

Part of the Ecstatic Music Festival, tonight's penultimate show of the 2016 season matches William Tyler's guitarwork with Quindar's electronics.

Bowery Electric celebrates the 50th anniversary of gone-but-not-forgotten iconic NYC punk venue with this party featuring UK rockabilly act Levi and the Rockats, a DJ set from legendary photographer Miick Rock and more.

Murphy's Law, Yuppicide, Downlow @ Grand Victory
New York punk favorites Murphy's Law have a big upcoming show opening for Sick Of It All at Webster Hall, but first you can catch them in a MUCH smaller room tonight. It's a good double bill with fellow hometown heroes Yuppicide, who released their first album since 1995 last year.

Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Children of Bodom, Havok @ Terminal 5
Thrash legends Megadeth are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year with this big tour. If you’re going, look out for former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo playing with Suicidal Tendencies.

Oneohtrix Point Never, Liturgy @ Warsaw
He'll soon be performing as part of ANOHNI's new band, but OPN continues his Garden of Delete tour tonight, with the jolt of electricity that is opener Liturgy.

Those Darlins, Idle Bloom, Mrs. Adam Schatz (Landlady) @ Baby's All Right
Those Darlins were supposed to play a NYC show at Baby’s All Right on January 23 that was part of their farewell tour, but it was cancelled after Winter Storm Jonas came to town. So their farewell lasts a little longer and say goodbye to Brooklyn tonight.

Todd Edwards, Zimmer, Kartell, Cassian, Justin Strauss, Hart @ Good Room
It's a special disco edition of Kitsuné Club Night headlined by producer, DJ and Daft Punk collaborator Todd Edwards.

Biz Markie @ Irving Plaza
What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day that with the Biz. He's got what you need.

Anais Mitchell @ The Penthouse at Lincoln Center
The very talented singer-songwriter plays as part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series, in a room with gorgeous views of Manhattan.

Bill Frisell (guitar) Petra Haden (vocals) Eyvind Kang (viola) Thomas Morgan (bass) Rudy Royston (drums) @ Village Vanguard
Experimental guitarist Bill Frisell has played with John Zorn in the grindcore/jazz band Naked City, Lucinda Williams, Richard Hell, Arto Lindsay and more. This five-night run is with that dog.’s Petra Haden on vocals.

Phil Lesh's "The Q" @ Capitol Theatre
The Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh is on night two of his three-night run of 76th birthday shows. Tonight and tomorrow are with his band "The Q," aka Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco & John Molo.

Lucinda Williams @ City Winery
Lucinda Williams’ new album The Ghosts of Highway 20 is a dark, depressing album, sadly inspired by the death of her father, and it’s also one of her strongest recent releases. Tonight she continues her five-show run at City Winery.

Mike Birbiglia @ The Lynn Redgrave Theater
Comedian Mike Birbiglia has been doing his show “Thank God for the Jokes” for nearly two years. He’s putting it to bed, but not before this run which just got extended through May.

Noel Fielding @ Gramercy Theatre
British comedian and Mighty Boosh co-creator Noel Fielding continues his six-show run tonight.
