For the first time ever, the entire Top Dawg Entertainment roster are touring together, with Kendrick Lamar, SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and more, and hopefully that means we’ll get live renditions of the many TDE collaborations.
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony @ Irving Plaza
Cleveland rap greats Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will bring classics like “1st of tha Month,” “Tha Crossroads,” and “”Look into My Eyes” to NYC tonight.
Quintron’s Weather Warlock, Ice Balloons @ Our Wicked Lady
This is one of Quintron’s “Weather Warlock” shows; a full band but based around his homemade synthesizer that is modulated, in part by atmospheric conditions: heat, cold, humidity…beer. Also in the forecast: Ice Balloons, aka Kyp Malone from TV on the Radio.
Mary Lattimore, Ornament, Macrodose @ Union Pool
Mary Lattimore just released new LP, Hundreds Of Days, which finds her venturing beyond the sounds of her harp and further into complex ambient territory. She celebrates the album’s release, in a tranquil way, at this show.
