What's going on Tuesday?

Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor in New Haven in 2017 (more by Sachyn Mital)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Regina Spektor (solo) @ Brooklyn Steel
Regina Spektor has given some pretty fleshed-out, highly arranged performances over the years, but sometimes the best way to see her is with just her voice and a piano, and that’s the mode she’ll be in tonight and tomorrow at Brooklyn Steel.

Alex Lahey, pronoun, Cold Fronts @ Bowery Ballroom
Last in NYC to play a super fun set opening for Jimmy Eat World, Australian indie rocker Alex Lahey returns tonight for a headlining show.

Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson @ Jones Beach
Shock rock vets Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are on another co-headlining tour together (following one in 2012), and tonight’s their second of two NYC-area shows.

Alice Bag, Choked Up, Ratas En Zelo @ Our Wicked Lady
Cult punk veteran Alice Bag (of The Bags) and more released a very solid solo album, Blueprint, on Don Giovanni this year, and she’s currently supporting it on tour. She plays NYC at Our Wicked Lady tonight and again at Mercury Lounge on Friday.
Miho Hatori’s New Optimism, Bubble_T @ Elsewhere (Zone One)
Former Cibo Matto singer Miho Hatori released her first record, Amazon to LeFrak, as New Optimism earlier this year, which still very much fits in with the anything-goes sonic blender she’s known for.

Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper @ Madison Square Garden
Between them both, Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper have enough hits to go all night.

Michelle Wolf @ The Bell House (two shows)
Michelle Wolf has had a big year, between the White House Correspondents Dinner and her new Netflix show, and you can catch her unexpurgated self at two (sold-out) shows tonight.

Grandbaby’s @ Baby Grand Brooklyn
Hosted by Cara Weinberger, Brian Bahe and Mary Cella, this weekly comedy showcase at Brooklyn’s outpost of this kitschy karaoke bar features Brad Howe (Joe Pera Talks With You), Clare O’Kane (Viceland), Jeffrey Emerson (Laughing Devil Comedy Fest Finalist), and Melissa Diaz (NYCF).

Laundry Night Comedy @ The Bitter End
Max Fine, Donnie Sengstack, and John Rosenberger host this showcase at Greenwich Village mainstay The Bitter End, featuring stand up from Liz Miele (Comedy Central), Kenice Mobley (Laughs on FOX), Sam Ruddy (Comedy Central), Austin Chardac (Austin and Max are Friends Podcast), and Brendan Eyre (Comedy Central)
