What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

A-Wa Baby’s @ All Right
A-WA, the Yemenite-Israeli trio of sisters, will release their new album, Bayti Fi Rasi (“My Home is in My Head”), on May 31. The album, which was produced by Tamir Muskat of Balkan Beat Box, tells the story of their great-grandma, Rachel, who was one of the 49,000 Yemenite Jews airlifted to Israel by way of 1949’s “Operation Magic Carpet.” The band will be back for a full North American tour later this year but tonight play this special NYC showcase.

William Tyler, Ryan Sawyer @ Le Poisson Rouge
Accomplished guitarist Williams Tyler really shows off his stuff on his lovely, just-released album Goes West that features Bill Frisell, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits) and more.

John Mellencamp @ Beacon Theatre
Heartland rock vet John Mellencamp is bringing “The John Mellencamp Show” to Beacon Theatre tonight, his second of two shows at the venue.

The Wailers, The Far East @ Brooklyn Bowl
Led by bassist and founder Aston “Familyman” Barrett, and joined by original Wailers guitarist Donald Kinsey as well as saxophonist Glen DaCosta, The Wailers pay tribute to late Bob Marley.

Flogging Molly, Lucero, The Huntress and Holder of Hands @ The Paramount
Celtic punk vets Flogging Molly and country punk vets Lucero are on the road together, which is a very appealing double bill. No NYC show but the tour hits Long Island tonight and Montclair, NJ on Thursday.

Sweet Hearts w/ Seth Herzog @ Chelsea Music Hall
Seth Herzog’s long-running SWEET belatedly celebrates Valentine’s Day with this show where comedians do a short set and then “blindly pick an audience member to go on a 7 minute date on stage with to hilarious results.” Those comedians are Nikki Glaser, John Hodgman, Dave Hill, Alice Wetterlund, and “Another Very Special Guest!”
