The Meadows 2017 - Saturday
Big Boi at The Meadows 2017 (more by P Squared)

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Big Boi, Goodie Mob, Organized Noize, KP the Great @ Terminal 5
Big Boi has been the much more prolific half of OutKast in recent years, but for this tour he’s getting in the nostalgic spirit by teaming up with his old Dungeon Family pals for what should be a very fun night all around.

Julia Jacklin, Black Belt Eagle Scout @ Rough Trade
Australian indie rocker Julia Jacklin released her great sophomore album Crushing earlier this year, which sees her expanding upon her folky debut in more musically diverse and lyrically powerful directions. She brings her tour to NYC for sold-out shows at Rough Trade tonight and Bowery Ballroom tomorrow, and it’s worth catching Black Belt Eagle Scout at these shows too.

Ufomammut, Kings Destroy, Geezer @ Saint Vitus
Italian psychedelic sludge metal greats Ufomammut are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year with an international tour that hits Brooklyn tonight. Making this show extra appealing is Kings Destroy, who recently released their new album Fantasma Nera which is a genre-defying step forward from the band’s doomier roots.

Seaway, Free Throw, Heart Attack Man, Young Culture @ Brooklyn Bazaar
Canadian emo/pop punk band Seaway headline this show, and if you’re going, we especially recommend showing up early to catch the post-hardcore-leaning Free Throw and the indie rock-leaning Heart Attack Man, both of whom have solid new albums out this year.

Chrysta Bell @ Le Poisson Rouge
You may know Chrysta Bell from Twin Peaks: The Return where she played FBI Agent Tammy. Bell and Lynch also worked together on her 2011 album Rose Noir. Tonight she celebrates her latest album of dark-tinged pop, Feels Like Love.

Ohtis, ZZZwalk, Cassandra Jenkins @ Union Pool
Folky Illinois band Ohtis is led by Sam Swinson who sings about a variety of dark personal topics on the band’s recently released debut album, such as his religious upbringing, and past experiences with substance abuse.

SWEET w/ Seth Herzog @ Chelsea Music Hall
Seth Herzog’s long-running comedy show comes to Chelsea Music Hall (in the depths of Chelsea Market) with a good lineup tonight including Ben Sinclair (High Maintenance), Aparna Nancherla, Rob Cantrell (The Colbert Report) and “a very special guest.”
