You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

James Blake (solo piano) @ BAM
Like he did in 2017, James Blake is playing rare solo piano shows at BAM’s Harvey Theatre tonight and tomorrow. If it’s anything like the last time he did this expect deep cuts, covers, and improvisation.

Cloud Rat, Witch Taint, The Injected Jam @ Saint Vitus
Tonight, Saint Vitus hosts Metal Injection’s 15th anniversary party co-hosted by the very funny and multi-talented Dave Hill and featuring his black metal band Witch Taint. The show also features grindcore greats Cloud Rat and an all-star jam with members of Testament, Type O Negative, Revocation, Mrs. Smith, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Silvertomb, Artificial Brain, Candiria, Mutoid Man, and more.

Steve Earle and the Dukes, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, The Mastersons, Josh Ritter @ Town Hall
Steve Earle and City Winery will host the fifth annual John Henry’s Friends benefit concert, which raises money for children diagnosed with autism. Steve Earle & the Dukes headline, and the stacked lineup also includes Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, The Mastersons, and Josh Ritter.

A Matteo / Mariah Christmas @ Joe’s Pub
With “All I Want For Christmas is You” hitting #1 25 years after it was released, it’s a perfect time for comedian Matteo Lane to perform her classic Christmas album live in full.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
