Lollapalooza 2019 - Thursday
YBN Cordae at Lollapalooza 2019 (more by James Richards IV)

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Mr. Bungle, Antidote, Cleric @ Brooklyn Steel
Mr. Bungle are on their first tour in nearly 20 years, and it sees them playing the songs from their thrashy 1986 demo The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny for the first time in over 30 years, and to do so, original members Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Trey Spruance are getting help from two thrash legends: Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer). They’ve also been doing tons of cool covers, including songs by Slayer, Mike Patton’s band Faith No More, and Scott Ian’s band Stormtroopers of Death, as well as Circle Jerks, Siege, The Exploited, Seals & Crofts, Corrosion of Conformity, Cro-Mags, Crumbsuckers, 7Seconds, and yes, the Mister Rogers theme. They’ve also got killer openers each tonight, and tonight includes NYHC vets Antidote and avant-garde metallers Cleric.

Spotlights, Semaphore, Nerveshatter @ Elsewhere Zone One
One of yesterday’s Mr. Bungle openers was local sludgy shoegaze greats Spotlights, who headline their own Brooklyn show tonight.

YBN Cordae, 24kGoldn @ Elsewhere Hall
In Elsewhere’s larger Hall, Raleigh rapper YBN Cordae will be supporting his 2019 debut The Lost Boy, one of the best rap albums of last year.

Tim & Eric @ Kings Theatre
This is the first of two NYC stops in Tim & Eric’s “Mandatory Attendance Tour” which features “brand new spoofs, goofs and insanity, and some very special surprises we can’t talk about right now.”

Rory Scovel @ The Bell House
Taking a break from following Tool on tour, comedian Rory Scovel is presenting this screening of docu-comedy special Life Without Fear that follows him as he “performs six nights in a row with one difficult, self imposed rule… not using any pre-written material.”

Marc Ribot @ The Stone
Marc Ribot kicks off his weeklong residency at The Stone with this night where he’ll play with a collective of Haitian-BK Rara musicians, including Rose Bianca Claircidor (banbou) Woulele Marcelin (kata) Kesler Pierre (banbou, lanbi) Jean E. Montina (banbou, lanbi) Anderson Antoine (banbou) Yves Boyer (lanbi) Ernst Blanc (anman tanbou) Morgan Zwerlein (tanbou, lanbi).

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
