Craig Finn at Terminal 5
Craig Finn at Terminal 5 in February ( by Em Grey)

What's going on Tuesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Craig Finn @ City Winery
Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn recently released his great new solo album, We All Want The Same Things, and this is the release show. He’ll be performing with the players he most of the record with — Stuart Bogie, Sam Kassirer, Josh Kaufman, Joe Russo and Jon Shaw.

Operators, Charly Bliss @ Rough Trade
While we eagerly await that new Wolf Parade album, Dan Boeckner is out with his other band, Operators, whose 2016 album Blue Wave followed the danceable tradition of the Handsome Furs records.

Sam Kogon, H. Hawkline, Air Waves @ Union Pool
Brooklyn’s Sam Kogon cites the late-’60s baroque/psych era as his main inspiration, and he’s taken that further by playing in the current lineup of The Left Banke. He plays tonight with Welsh ex-pat (and Cate Le Bon collaborator) H Hawkline, and dreamy indie rock stylists Air Waves.

KeithCharles SpaceBar, Sporting Life, NAPPYNAPPA @ Mercury Lounge
Awful Records’ KeithCharles SpaceBar is currently on his I NEED SPACE Tour, which hits NYC tonight. Opening is Sporting Life (ex-Ratking) and rising DC rapper NAPPYNAPPA.

Ed Askew, Kyle Forester, Erin Durant, Clint Newsom @ Alphaville
Eccentric folk singer Ed Askew’s storied career dates back to the 1960s and the cult artist remains active and very worth seeing today.

Ann Wilson @ Bergen PAC
Heart’s Ann Wilson still has a powerhouse voice like few others, and any chance to see her play is one worth taking.

SWEET w/ Seth Herzog @ The Slipper Room
Seth Herzog hosts this long-running comedy night that always features great guests.
