What's going on Wednesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sun Ra Arkestra, Yatta @ AMC Empire 25
The Interference AV Festival wraps up tonight with the Sun Ra Arkestra where they’ll play live against projections by experimental video collective Undervolt & co. There’s also a zine fair and more.

Lightning Bolt, Show Me The Body @ Elsewhere
Noisy art rock duo Lightning Bolt have been together for nearly 25 years and still put on an intense, one-of-a-kind live show. Opening are equally intense NYC punk trio Show Me The Body, making for a taught, electrified double bill.

Tyler Childers, Kelsey Waldon @ Bowery Ballroom
Tyler Childers continues to rise in the world of country/indie crossover. Last year he released his debut album Purgatory, co-produced by Sturgill Simpson, and this week he plays two NYC shows, this being the second.

Remember Sports, Thanks For Coming, Sidney Gish @ Silent Barn
Remember Sports (the new name of the Philly-via-Ohio pop punk band previously known as Sports) just announced a new album, Slow Buzz, and while it won’t be out until May, they’ll likely play some songs from it tonight. Making this bill extra appealing is opener Sidney Gish, whose No Dogs Allowed is one of early 2018’s true DIY/indie rock gems.

Amber Mark, Miles Francis @ Rough Trade
Singer Amber Mark has been making waves with her unique blend of R&B, pop, and tribal music influences. Having opened for some pretty big artists recently, she plays a smaller headlining show tonight.

Nancy Feast, Showtime Goma, Lalande, Lorelei Ramirez @ ALPHAVILLE
Nancy Feast (aka Teeny Lieberson from TEEN) and Showtime Goma (aka Jen Goma of A Sunny Day in Glasgow) both put on theatrical pop solo performances and often help each other out in their respective sets. Expect some of that collaboration tonight.

dvsn @ Terminal 5
Drake associates dvsn have a downtempo R&B sound that’s not far from the 6 God himself, and both of their albums are pretty solid. They’re back in NYC tonight for a big, sold out headlining show.

Chris Gethard “Beautiful/Anonymous” podcast taping @ The Bell House
‘Beautiful/Anonymous’ is Chris Gethard’s podcast where he takes calls from anonymous strangers and lets the conversation play out however it may. He’s taping new episodes at a residency at The Bell House this month. This is the final night.
