What's going on Wednesday?

Mo Pop 2018 - Sunday
Jeff Rosenstock @ Mo Pop 2018 (more by Christian Heinzel)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Jeff Rosenstock, The Sidekicks @ Bowery Ballroom
Jeff Rosenstock released one of the best albums of last year with POST- (his first for Polyvinyl), and now he’s set to record a live album at this BrooklynVegan-presented, four-night run at Bowery Ballroom. Each show will be opened by a different artist in Jeff’s inner circle of friends/collaborators; tonight (night one) is with Ohio power popsters The Sidekicks.

Four Tet @ Brooklyn Steel
Four Tet’s last Brooklyn shows were dazzling and intimate with immersive lighting. We’ll see what he’s got in store for these two, much bigger shows this week.

Pavo Pavo, Yohuna, Hnry Flwr @ Elsewhere Zone One
Brooklyn orch-pop combo Pavo Pavo celebrate the release of their new album, Mystery Hour.

Robert Wilson, Jim Jarmusch, Lucie Vítková @ Issue Project Room
“ISSUE is thrilled to present a collaborative performance between two of America’s most renowned experimental artists, theater director & visual artist Robert Wilson and film director, actor & musician Jim Jarmusch.”

Ilana Glazer @ Littlefield
Now that the final season of Broad City is in the can, Ilana Glazer may tell us what’s next while hosting this comedy cavalcade tonight.

‘You Had To Be There’ with Dave Hill, Jim Biederman, Jodi Lennon @ QED
“Comedian Dave Hill gives his first person account of different periods throughout history while Jim Biederman and Jodi Lennon call bullshit on most of what he’s saying.”

Dawes @ Beacon Theatre
Coming off last year’s Passwords, Dawes will be playing a special “An Evening With” show tonight featuring two sets and no opener.

Video Age, Jackson MacIntosh @ Union Pool
New Orleans duo Video Age make melty pop that’s in the same psychedelic universe as Mild High Club. They play tonight with Jackson Macintosh (Sheer Agony, TOPS).

Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah @ Blue Note Jazz Club
Having just announced his new album Ancestral Recall, genre-defying jazz great Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah continues his residency at the Blue Note tonight. It runs through Friday with two shows a night.
