Psychedelic soul artist Michael Kiwanuka -- who, among other things, had his song "Cold Little Heart" used as the Big Little Lies theme song -- is releasing his anticipated new album KIWANUKA next month but first he's playing some US shows. Tonight is sold out.

Injury Reserve, Slauson Malone @ Gramercy Theatre
Avant-rap trio Injury Reserve put out their great self-titled debut album earlier this year, and as great as the album is, their wild live show is even better.

Janelle Monae @ Pier 17
Boundary-pushing R&B, soul, art pop, and more singer Janelle Monae is still riding high off the strength of last year's excellent Dirty Computer, and she brings her spectacular live show to NYC tonight.

Every Time I Die @ Rocks Off Concert Cruises
Buffalo metalcore vets Every Time I Die are doing three nights of Rocks Off Cruises this week, and this one is extra special because they'll be playing their classic 2003 sophomore album Hot Damn! in full.

Mark Knopfler, Bonnie Raitt @ SMadison Square Garden
Former Dire Straits frontman will be bringing his old band's hits, as well as his solo catalog to MSG, with some great support via another fabulous songwriter/guitarist, Bonnie Raitt.

Brooklyn noise rockers Couch Slut are promising to release new material in 2020, but meanwhile are playing this one-off hometown show with with PAK, Häßliche Luftmasken, and Sally Gates/Greg Fox/Shahzad Ismaily.

Arca @ The Shed
Musician, producer, artist and Bjork collaborator Arca presents this “new, four-part experimental performance cycle titled Mutant;Faith.” This is Part 1 which is titled "Gestation."

David Cross @ Union Hall
David Cross tested out the stand-up material that became the 2018 Oh Come On tour at a bunch of shows he called “Shootin’ the Shit, Seein’ What Sticks” that mostly happened at Brooklyn’s Union Hall. He’s shooting the shit again with another series of shows.
