Pop. 1280
Pop. 1280

What's going on Wednesday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

James Blake (solo piano) @ BAM
Like he did in 2017, James Blake is playing rare solo piano shows at BAM’s Harvey Theatre tonight and tomorrow. If it’s anything like the last time he did this expect deep cuts, covers, and improvisation.

Pop. 1280, Whimm, Cube @ Union Pool
Brooklyn gothy post-punks Pop. 1280 go from dark beauty to powerdrill industrial on their new album Way Station. If you’re looking for a little anti-holiday noise, this may do it.

A Murray Little Christmas @ Joe’s Pub
Drag vet Murray Hill’s “A Murray Little Christmas” shows are a NYC holiday tradition, and this year guests include Bridget Everett, Angie Pontani, Carmine Covelli, Nik Baker, and more.

Khalid, Wale, Layton Greene, and The Bonfyre @ Kings Theatre
Hot 97’s annual Hot for the Holidays show was originally scheduled to take place at Barclays Center with headliner H.E.R., but at some point she dropped off and it was moved to the smaller Kings Theatre. Still on the show is R&B star Khalid, Seinfeld-obsessed rapper Wale, and more.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
