You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Makeness @ Brooklyn Steel
Unknown Mortal Orchestra's new album Sex & Food came out earlier this month which is a further exploration of dreamy, groovy psychedelia. Tonight's UMO's first of two Brooklyn Steel shows.

Minus the Bear, The Coathangers @ Stone Pony
Math-pop vets Minus the Bear are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their proggiest album, Planet of Ice, by performing the album on tour. Tonight's their first of three NYC-area shows with their Suicide Squeeze labelmates The Coathangers.

Joseph, Becca Mancari @ City Winery
Folk-pop trio Joseph headline this sold-out show, and if you're going, we strongly recommend showing up for opener Becca Mancari. Her 2017 album Good Woman finds the middle ground between indie rock and alt-country, and it's great stuff. Her live show is very solid too.

John Hodgman, Jean Grae @ The Bell House
Jean and John is a hilarious, well-produced, monthly variety and game show at The Bell House hosted by rapper and comedian Jean Grae and actor and comedian John Hodgman. They invite celebrity guests and some audience members on stage to spin the wheel of topics, which determines what they’ll talk about next.

Slick Rick & Doug E Fresh @ B.B. King Blues Club
It's the last week for B.B. King's which has been on 42nd St since 2000. Hip hop greats Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh help wish it farewell tonight.

Wolfmanhattan Project, ESCAPE-ISM @ The Bowery Electric
This is a pretty killer double bill of garage punk greats. Wolfmanhattan Project is a supergroup of Mick Collins (Gories), Kid Congo Powers (The Cramps, Bad Seeds), and Bob Bert (Sonic Youth); while ESCAPE-ISM is the solo project of firecracker Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, The Make-Up).

Hatebreed @ Rocks Off Cruise
Metalcore vets Hatebreed have been touring their influential 1997 debutSatisfaction Is the Death of Desire and its 2002 followup Perseverance lately, and while this cruise isn't part of that tour, maybe they'll still play some early deep cuts since they're fresh in the band's mind.

Rina Sawayama, K Rizz @ Mercury Lounge
Japan-born and London-based singer Rina Sawayama makes music that’s nostalgic for all kinds of ’90s pop (you can hear hints of Mariah, Britney, Aaliyah, The Cardigans, and more), but she very much updates it for the present. She’s on the rise — tonight’s her second of two sold-out NYC shows this week.

Renata Zeiguer, Spritzer, Future Heart @ Elsewhere
New York dream pop artist Renata Zeiguer recently released her new album Old Ghost, and tonight she plays a hometown show in continued support of it.

Ilana Glazer, Phoebe Robinson @ Union Hall
Ilana Glazer (Broad City) and Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens) are re-teaming for more YQY shows (that’s Yaaas Queen Yaaas). This is the first of many happening in Brooklyn this month.

Surfer Blood, Winter @ Union Pool
Florida poppy indie rock band Surfer Blood play an intimate show tonight.
