Wilco announce 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' reissues including massive Super Deluxe Edition

Wilco‘s classic fourth album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot turns 20 this year — the band are currently in NYC playing it live at a five-night United Palace run — and if you’ve been wondering if they might be putting out a special edition this year, the answer is yes. There are a few YHF reissues out on September 16 via Nonesuch, ranging from a standard remastered vinyl edition to an 11-vinyl-album/1-CD Super Deluxe Edition. You can preorder them now in the BV shop.

The Super Deluxe Edition features 82 previously unreleased tracks, including demos, drafts, instrumentals, a live album, a September 2001 radio performance and interview, and more. It also comes with a book featuring an interview with Jeff Tweedy, drummer Glenn Kotche, and mixing engineer Jim O’Rourke, as well as a new essay by journalist/author Bob Mehr, and previously unseen photos of the band making the album in their Chicago studio. Wilco finish up their United Palace run on Tuesday and Wednesday (tickets). After that, they head to Chicago, where they’ll play three Yankee Hotel Foxtrot shows this weekend. They also stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to play “Poor Places,” and you can watch that below.
