Wilco release benefit single; Jeff Tweedy played 'Colbert,' where Steve Carell discussed Fred Willard

Jeff Tweedy was (virtually) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night (5/20) for a solo acoustic performance of the Wilco classic “Jesus, Etc” from his home studio, and Wilco also premiered their new song “Tell Your Friends” on the show. They shot a quarantine-style music video for the song, which debuted on Colbert, and then they also released the song on Bandcamp. You can purchase it for $1 or more and all proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen. Watch the video and the “Jesus, Etc” performance below.

Colbert also had Steve Carell on the show to discuss his new Netflix series Space Force and the late, great Fred Willard (who stars in it). “He very quietly influenced a whole generation,” Steve said. The episode also had a special guest appearance by Nick Kroll who talked about the new Michael Jordan/Bulls documentary The Last Dance. Watch those videos below too.
