This year marks the 10th anniversary of the debut albums from Wild Nothing (Gemini) and Beach Fossils (self-titled), both of which came out May 25, 2010 on Captured Tracks. The bands will celebrate on a short spring tour that will have them both playing their debut albums in full. Dates kick off in NYC at Brooklyn Steel on May 13 and then they'll hit Chicago, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Tickets for Brooklyn Steel go on sale Friday, January 10 at noon, with an AmEx presale beginning Wednesday (1/8) at noon. All tour dates are listed, along with a streams of Beach Fossils and Gemini, below.
Wild Nothing also have a new EP titled Laughing Gas coming out January 31 via Captured Tracks. Main man Jack Tatum made the record with Jorge Elbrecht in Los Angeles and Richmond, VA and the songs were recorded around the same time as last year's Indigo. "Foyer" and "Blue Wings, which you can listen to below, stay firmly in Wild Nothing’s ’80s wheelhouse but Elbrecht’s presence is definitely felt in the icy production.
Meanwhile, Beach Fossils spent New Year's doing karaoke with Post Malone.
