William Patrick (fka Billy) Corgan announces solo LP & tour, shares song
Smashing Pumpkins frontman William Patrick Corgan (don't call him Billy anymore) has officially announced details of his new solo album. It's called Ogilala, it was produced by Rick Rubin, and it's due out on October 13 via Martha's Music/BMG. Lead single "Aeronaut" is
set to premiere soon out now and you can listen below. Meanwhile, check out the tracklist below and the artwork above. WPC also announced a solo tour.
His solo tour includes NYC shows on October 14 and 15 at the Murmrr Theatre. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (8/25) at 9:49 AM with a fan club presale starting today (8/22) at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
The Pumpkins have also been posting pictures on Instagram of their very early days, including a shot of the original, classic lineup (William Patrick Corgan with James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and D'arcy Wretzky). Some have speculated that these are more teasers for the long-rumored reunion of the band's original lineup, but there's still no official word.
