Disq

Wisconsin duo Disq prep 7" for Saddle Creek Document Series (stream it)

Disq are the Wisconsin-based duo of Isaac deBroux-Slone and Raina Bock, who are both still in their teens and who draw influence from a wide array of music, be it ’70s pop (Todd Rundgren, Big Star), ’90s indie like Weezer and Sloan, and more. Following a digital EP in 2016, Disq are releasing a new 7″ single on Friday (1/25) as part of Saddle Creek’s Document Series, where the record comes with a specially curated zine by the artist. The A-side is the crunchy, upbeat “Communication,” while the B-side, “Parallel,” starts as a dirge before opening wide into My Morning Jacket anthemic territory. We’re premiering “Parallel” in this post and you can listen to that, and the flip, below.

The band will be in Austin for SXSW, but currently have no other tour plans.
