Wolf Parade finally returned from hiatus with the great new album Cry Cry Cry in 2019, and though since then they parted ways with longtime member Dante DeCaro, they've been staying active, and today they put out their first new single in over two years, "Against the Day." It's powered by buzzing, distorted synths that recall the band's classic era, and it's led by a duet from co-frontmen Dan Boeckner and Spencer Krug, reminding you how much more powerful these two are when they put their heads together. Listen below.

No concrete word on their next album yet, but the band revealed earlier this year that they finished LP5 with producer John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Harvey Danger, etc), and they've continued to tease the album since then. A few weeks ago they posted "Been a quiet summer, but things are brewing for LP5..." Stay tuned!

Update: Video for the song is out now, directed by Scorpion Dagger.
