Woods are back with Strange To Explain which is out May 22 on Woodsist. It’s their first album in three years, their first since guitarist Jarvis Taveniere moved to L.A., and the 99th release on the Woodsist label. There is more of a keyboard-oriented sound this time around courtesy John Andrews who also made the lovely animated video for first single “Where Do You Go When You Dream?” The cheery-sounding song shows off the new sonic direction, coated in piano, electric piano and mellotrons. Watch the video below.

The band are easing back into touring, having announced a few West Coast shows beginning with Sonoma’s Huichica Festival in June. They’ll also play Seattle, Portland, and L.A., with more dates still to be announced. Check out their tour schedule, plus album art and tracklist, below.
