Worriers announce tour, including Ladyfest Boston & Beer Mansion in Brooklyn

Brooklyn punks Worriers are going on a short East Coast tour this spring. Unlike their recent shows as a duo opening for John K. Samson and The Winter Wheat, these will be full band, except for the Pharmacy on 4/12, which is a solo set. Lauren Denitzio of Worriers mentioned at Bowery Ballroom that the band is working on a new album, a follow-up to their Laura Jane Grace-produced 2015 release via Don Giovanni, Imaginary Life. Perhaps they’ll play some new songs at these shows; all upcoming dates listed below.

Worriers’ NYC show on April 22 at The Monto & The Well is part of a Brooklyn Brewery Mash presented festival, Beer Mansion. Tickets are on sale, and include a tasting glass good for unlimited pours of beers from The Brooklyn Brewery, Other Half Brewing Company, Strong Rope Brewery, LIC Beer Project, KCBC, and Finback Brewery; the Garden of Eatin’ Chip Wall, McClure’s Extreme Bloody Mary Bar, Industry City Distillery, Anyone Comics, Brooklyn Film Camera, NYU Game Center, and more. Lost Boy? also plays.

On Friday (4/14), Worriers appear at Ladyfest Boston, where they play a set and Lauren Denitzio leads a discussion on gender identity and punk. Sad13, Colleen Green, and others also play the three-day festival, and proceeds from it go to Girls Rock Campaign Boston and Rosie’s Place. Tickets are on sale, and the full lineup and details are on the Ladyfest Boston facebook.
