Wye Oak

One night before they opened for the National at Beacon Theater, Baltimore's Wye Oak headlined their own sold out show at The Rock Shop on 4th Ave in Brooklyn to a crowd that included Sharon Van Etten who they shared a stage with at Beacon Theater one night earlier. Michael Azerrad says it was a great show.

The NYC shows marked the almost-end of a long year of touring for Wye Oak who have been out promoting the heck out of their 2011 album Civilian which landed them the #1 spot on AV Club's "Best Music of 2011" list.

Saturday night, 12/17, Wye Oak played their actual last show of the year in their hometown at the Ottobar with Pattern is Movement who also opened the Brooklyn show three nights earlier. More pictures from the Rock Shop, below...
