Yaeji will release a new full-length mixtape, WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던, on April 2 via XL. The first single is “Waking Up Down” which comes with an anime-style video based on Yaeji’s own character designs. You can watch that below.
Yaeji has also just announced a North American tour that, on most dates, is with Jessy Lanza, including stops in DC, Philly, Atlanta, Asheville, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, NYC, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Oakland, Denver, Dallas, Austin, and Houston. The NYC show is at Brooklyn Steel on June 19. Tickets for that show, and the whole tour, go on sale Friday (3/13) at 10 AM local time with presales starting Wednesday (3/11) at 10 AM local time.
Yaeji also has festival appearances this summer, including Bonnaroo, Pitchfork, Osheaga and more. She was also on the lineup for Coachella, which looks like is going to be postponed, but she no longer lists it in her tour dates. All Yaeji dates are below.
Meanwhile, Jessy Lanza will hopefully have a new album — her first since 2016’s Oh No — by the time of this tour. She recently shared new single “Lick In Heaven” and shared an outtake from the album cover photoshoot. Jessy’s also got other dates in addition to the ones with Yaeji and those are listed, along with the “Lick in Heaven” video, below.
