Slate.com is hosting a festival, called Slate Day, in NYC this Saturday (June 8) on The Highline Park at 16th St and at the SVA Theater featuring "live podcasts, delightful experiences, and lots of special guests." Events include a live taping of Studio 360 With Kurt Andersen featuring comedian Aasif Mandvi and performances by Yo La Tengo and Friends Who Folk; a live taping of Trumpcast with host Virginia Heffernan talking to Aparna Nancherla and Vicky Ward; a live taping of What Next with guests Wyatt Cenac, Mimi Rocah, and Jumaane Williams; a combined show featuring podcast The Waves and Outward with First Lady of NYC Chirlane McCray and performance by Miz Cracker; plus Culture Gabfest, Hit Parade and more.

Yo La Tengo are also opening for Bon Iver at Barclays Center, and tickets for that show go on BrooklynVegan presale this Thursday (6/6).
