Yo La Tengo expands tour, performing original score for 'The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller' at The Kitchen (dates)

Yo La Tengo recently announced they’d be going on a co-headlining tour with Belle and Sebastian, which hits NYC on July 11 at Prospect Park for a Celebrate Brooklyn! show. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (2/22) at noon.

YLT also just expanded their tour, and it now includes two more appearances in NYC. On April 9 and 10 at non-profit art space The Kitchen, they’ll be performing their original score for Sam Green‘s “live documentary” The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller. The film is a documentary on multi-disciplinary artist R. Buckminster Fuller, and “at every screening, Green narrates the film in person and cues images from a laptop while Yo La Tengo performs their original score.” The screening will take place twice each day (7 PM and 9 PM). Online tickets are sold out, but there is always a wait list and usually a number of them released at the door.
