Sam Perry is a member of New Zealand pop outfit Yumi Zouma but he also makes music on his own as Zen Mantra. His second Zen Mantra album was just released via Flying Nun imprint Flying Out, and is the hazy sort of psych pop that should appeal to fans of Wild Nothing or DIIV. You can stream the whole album below.

Zen Mantra will play a free show in NYC on Wednesday, August 10 at Elvis Guesthouse. It's a Flying Nun Pop-Up Shop party where the label will be selling records at bargain prices (hopefully they'll have The Chills' Kaleidoscope World reissue) as well as warehouse finds like limited edition posters and other tchotchkes. Fazerdaze will also play and it starts at 9 PM. Flyer is below.

Speaking of Flying Nun, new signee Aldous Harding will reissue her 2014 debut album on the label, and she's going to be touring with Deerhunter.
