Zola Jesus wrapped up the US leg of her tour in support of her new album Taiga in NYC last night (10/19) at Webster Hall. Backed by a horn section, a light-up mountainous prop, a keyboardist and a powerhouse drummer, Zola played the new album in full and returned for an encore of two of her biggest older songs, "Vessel" and "Night." The old songs got the biggest cheers, but the new stuff sounded great and Zola was on fire performing them. She ran all over Webster's stage and broke out into berserk dance moves during the album's more frenzied parts (like the Yeezus-esque beats of "Hunger"), several hair whips included.
